Getting started with Thought Leadership: Packages 

How do we get started on Thought Leadership? This is a common question.

Many people feel confused about Thought Leadership marketing or overwhelmed about where to begin. And because it's not an insubstantial commitment, it can seem easier to not get started.​​

​We are also well aware of the frustrating lack of upfront transparency from many agencies, writers and consultants regarding fees and deliverables. We have priced our Packages clearly to avoid this and also strive to explain why fees can be so wildly disparate, again within our FAQ’s.

Package or Bespoke?

The benefit of Packages over open-ended or Bespoke projects is that you know exactly what you are spending upfront and exactly what you will receive. All Packages follow the same standard terms (typical within the publishing world) of 50% upfront upon Signature of Agreement and 50% upon Delivery, and the deliverables have, we hope, been clearly set out - just click the Buttons above to find out Full Specs for each Package. These include a number of Packages carefully considered and priced for those wanting merely to dip their toes in the water without on the one hand too large an outlay or, on the other, feeling their initial steps will not make enough of an impact to bother. On the other hand some projects can only be Bespoke. ​We are equally happy to provide a provisional quote although the downsides of such work is that if a project takes far longer than expected (for reasons other than SLETL slowness, of course!), the ongoing time would be billed. The cost will also depend on whether you want to work with Susan Lawson herself or with a Junior Writer overseen by Susan. Susan's personal Rate is £175 p/hr for writing and £225 p/hr for Strategy & Ideation although for very large projects such as full-length books these would not be charged by hour.
